Plaza Theatre Center for the Performing Arts

The Plaza Theatre, which was built in the 1930s, was originally designed in the “atmospheric” style with a dome-shaped ceiling complete with twinkling stars and puffy white clouds to create the illusion of an evening sky.  Akustiks completed the acoustical design for a renovation and stage expansion that converted the theater into a modern performance hall for symphonic music, opera, touring Broadway productions and other entertainment events. Plaza Theatre re-opened in September 2006 to rave reviews.
