The Nokia Theatre (now PlayStation Theater) is a premiere live music and concert destination in the heart of New York City’s Times Square. Akustiks collaborated with Rockwell Group to develop a 2,100-capacity concert venue, for AEG Live to bring entertainment’s hottest performers to New York. Akustiks provided the room acoustic design and extensive sound isolation measures to fully isolate the concert venue from the Minskoff Theatre and MTV’s TRL studios located directly above. The venue also incorporates a resilient dance floor or “mosh pit” for audience participation.

Winner: 2005 Pollstar Award for the Best New Major Concert Venue
