Akustiks oversaw the acoustical design that was part of the adaptive reuse of Belmont Heights Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee for an ~900 seat concert hall to support Belmont University’s School of Music program. By utilizing the attic and an increased floor rake, the acoustical volume was increased roughly 1.5 times the original sanctuary. Sound accesses the additional acoustical volume through a sound transparent ceiling to create room reverberation.

Winner: Citation of Excellence Award, Learning By Design (Spring 2013)
